On 17th Dec, 2015 Sri Sindhi Guru Sangat Sabha Association in Hyderabad organised a felicitation and book release function of Devi Nangrani’s translation story book titled ”Apne hi Ghar Mein” The book was released by Shri Shankardas Bolaki, himself a well known poet, the former president of Hyderabad Darbar.
On the occassion Devi Nagrani was presented with momento by The vice president Shri Jagdish Santdasani, and a shawl was presented by Shri Gurucharan Bhavnani and Smt Ganga Bhavnani. The evening was conducted by Smt Sunita Lulla, former principal of Sadhu Vaswani High School, and a well known poetess in her own right in Hindi,Sindhi.Urdu and English.
Along with the book release a ”Kavya-Goshti ‘ too was organized. where a number of poets from the city presented their poems. some of them are Smt Vinita Sharma, Smt Elizabeth Kurian Mona, Smt Ratnakala Mishra, Shri Govind Akshay(edior-Golconda Darpan) ,Shri Durga Prasad ,Shri Chandra Kant Khandekar, Shri Kunj Bihari Gupta ,Smt Kumudbala Mukherji and Smt Sunita Lulla. The star of the evening Smt Devi Nagrani recited few of her Sindhi poems and Ghazals in her inimitable soft and soothing voice. The sindhis poetry presented was well welcomed and made the evening to remember for a long time to come. Among the sindhis there were Shri Jaikishan shri Prakash Bolaki , Mrs. Ashok Vaswani , Smt Karuna Matta, Shri Bhagwandas Thadani, Shri Govind Bachani and a few more from the city. The evening ended with snacks and tea.
