PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR STUDENTS GET OUTSTANDING PACKAGES

jaipur-100x100Jaipur / Ms. Ojaswi Tiwari from Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur, has received the highest package of Rs. 10.20 lakhs in the campus placement after passing out of two years post graduate course in Pharmacy, at D.M. Health Care, Dubai. She worked on a project titled “Plasma Products Therapy and Blood Banking Scene in India: Facts and Fiction” during her course and prepared an extensive report on subject. Besides, ten students got placement in the institutions such as Sun Pharmaceuticals, Evosis Health Care Consultants and Plasmagen Biosciences. The average salary package for the first ten students is Rs. 6.17 lakhs per annum. Students from 16 states studied in the 2001-13 batch of the course.

The IIHMR’s Academic Consultant, Brig. Dr. S.K. Puri, said here today that the youths all over the country were showing an inclination towards a career in pharmaceutical management in view of excellent growth in the sector. According to a recent survey conducted by Business Standard, the pharmaceutical sector expects to see the highest pay hike at 12.5 per cent.

IIHMR has emerged as the first choice for students in view of the scope for their placement in prestigious companies even before finishing their study course. The innovative post-graduate programme in pharmaceutical management was started in 2008 after getting approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The IIHMR has also entered into international collaborations with the universities such as John Hopkins University and Mahidol University to bring in global competitiveness among its graduating students.
