इंडिया न्यूज चैनल को टॉप पर ले जाने के लिए दीपक चौरसिया का प्रयोग सुपर-डुपर हिट होता जा रहा है लेकिन इसने पत्रकारिता, नैतिकता और सरोकार के कई पैमाने ध्वस्त कर दिए. ताजी सूचना है कि जिस शख्स को लाइव डिबेट के दौरान थप्पड़ लगवाया गया, वह आम आदमी पार्टी का प्रवक्ता नहीं था. पर उसे चैनल पर आम आदमी पार्टी के प्रवक्ता के रूप में पेश किया गया. लोग कह रहे हैं कि सब कुछ प्रायोजित था ताकि चैनल चर्चा में आए और इसकी टीआरपी बढ़े. हुआ भी यही. इधर, आम आदमी पार्टी ने एक प्रेस रिलीज जारी कर बिना नाम लिए इंडिया न्यूज चैनल के आचरण की निंदा करते हुए पार्टी को बदनाम करने की साजिश की भर्त्सना की है. पार्टी की तरफ से जारी विज्ञप्ति व अधिकृत प्रवक्ताओं की लिस्ट ये है…
‘The Aam Aadmi Party strongly condemns the nefarious attempts by some TV channels to allow unauthorized individuals to air their views as party spokespersons and indulge in an ugly onscreen drama. The AAP wants to make it clear in no uncertain terms that only those spokespersons and panelists whose names have been cleared by the party and circulated to the media are authorized to speak on its behalf. It is disturbing to note that some channels have been allowing unauthorized individuals to express their views officially on behalf of the party. The AAP media cell wishes to bring to the notice of the entire media fraternity that requests for participation in TV shows and even for expression of views in print media should be checked with it. It has been noticed in the recent past that deliberate attempts have been made to showcase individuals as members and former members and even party sympathizers as party leaders, which is unacceptable.”

इस पूरे प्रकरण पर वरिष्ठ पत्रकार Sheetal P Singh कहते हैं: ”हिन्दी के कुछ “कलाकार” चैनलों पर कुछ लोगों को “आप” की ओर से बैठाकर बहस का प्रहसन चलाया जाता है। हाल में एक पर तो एक प्रायोजित विद्रोहिणी से ऐसे ही एक पर स्टूडियो में थप्पड़ चलवा कर मजमा हिट कराने का शग़ल हुआ। ‘आप’ वालों को हार कर अपने अधिकृत लोगों की लिस्ट दुबारा जारी करनी पड़ रही है।
