Having partaken of Breakfast at their respective venues, students collected in their Barazza groups at the Mayo Statue. The buses left for their respective destinations viz. Meenu Mano Vikas Kendra, Badhir Vidhyalaya, Bal Prakash Ashram and Dayanand Bal Sadan.
The service of the poor and the dispossessed is a tribute to humanity itself- with this idea in mind, delegates got together to work to alleviate the burdens of the unfortunate. Some of the tasks that they carried out were- Wall Painting in the recreational area of Badhir Vidhyalaya, making biscuits and chocolate cookies for the students of this school, painting the boundary wall of Meenu Mano Vikas Kendra, developing the garden in the hostel quadrangle, painting garden swings of Bal Prakash Ashram, block painting on curtains of Dayanand Bal Sadan and planting saplings in its premises. The delegates also got the opportunity to interact with the students of these institutions and they were amazed by the way these specially gifted children have braved the odds and the way they are accomplishing even the impossible of tasks. After all, real bliss exists not in riches or in anything else which the world regards as prosperity but in the joy and happiness derived through perfect fellowship and selfless service.
As the gong struck 12:30 P.M. it was time to wrap up tasks. Buses left the service destinations to arrive in M.C.G.S. at about 1:30P.M. . Lunch was served to all.
The late afternoon slot was used by delegates to practice for Multi- Cultural evening scheduled for 13th January. It was a time for fun and frolic at the Carnival in the Central field at Mayo College, from 4:30 P.M. onwards. There were numerous stalls which sold a variety of stuff ranging from eateries to clothes to bags……The delegates also witnessed a splendid show of Rajasthani Folk dances performed by dancers .
Came night, it was time for Adult Networking again… This brought us to the end of a very exciting day five of the Mayo Global Round Square Conference, 2017.
