Bjp got around 31%votes and NDA got about 39% votes

parliament election 2014-2BJP is able to win 282 seats with just around 31%votes and NDA got about 39% votes and secure around 325 seats..While in earlier election party securing absolute majority got votes in the range of 40.8% ( 414 seats in 1984 ) to 40 .8 % votes (283 seats out of 520 seats in 1967 ). In this election Congress and it allies got 235 votes and secure only 59 seats out of 543 seats.. Poll % of 19.3% votes ( Which congress got in this poll and getting only 44 seats, While BJP got 116 seats in 2009 election by securing only 18.3% of votes )
With the combined vote share of both Congress and BJP together come around just 50%. Hence half of the other electorate voted for other parties
Vote share of 38.5% of NDA is the lowest any coalition has ever obtained and getting as high as 325 seats. The UPA-1 got vote share of about 47% votes of congress and its allies and party who rendered out side support ant their total seats were 320. While this year combined vote share of NDA (38.5%) is much lower then the vote share of UPA-1 (47% )
Hence,BJP  will form the government with the lowest popular support in the history of 67 years of Indian democracy
It may be concluded that even to day 69% voters did not votes for BJP but it enjoy the fruits of the power. This is is a result of non bi polar .party system of our country
Thus , it will not be fair to say that the other parties  are compeletly routed or finished , However they may be defeated but are not out..
