
Bhiwadi, The Shriram Corporate Kabaddi tournament has become the much awaited platform for young professionals to take time from their busy schedules and get back to sports. On the first two days of the tournament on the 21st and 22nd of April, nine teams showcased their talent on the battle ground of Kabaddi. The matches on both days demonstrated the mettle of the teams, with the day one matches leading to four semi finalists. The matches were interesting to watch as some of them were closely contested, while others were one sided, demonstrating the preparedness of the participants. Fighting their way through, Shriram Pistons and Amktek emerged as the finalists by defeating seven other teams. The two are set to clash on the 24th of April to decide, who will lift the much coveted Shriram Corporate Kabaddi Cup 2015.
In the semi-finals, Shriram Pistons powered their way through to defeat Hi-Tech Gears Limited by 66-51 in a closely fought match. In the other semi-final, Amtek Auto Limited won against Continental Engines Limited in a one sided match.
Amtek has a good mix of attackers and defenders, which helped them with their wins in the tournament so far. At the same, players of Shriram Pistons have a very good sense of team play and strategy, which has enabled them to reach the much awaited finals to be played on the 24th of April.

The nine participating companies include, Autofit, JBM, Continental Engines ltd, Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd, Amtek, Hi-Tech Gears, Sona Steering, HVCC (Visteon) and Delhpi. All the matches were held on the factory campus of Shriram Pistons, Pathredi.
