Lower Rajasthan area is comprised of various stations i.e. Beawar, Bijainagar, Gangapur, Merta, Soyla, Bilara, Khairthal, Asop, Roon, Khinwsar, Sumerpur, Kekdi, Akola, Kapasan, Kuraj etc.
Last year sowing area was of 186000 hectare (pvt. Figures) and 170000 hect( as per govt. statistics) but this in season due to last year’s better yield and good demand it has increased to about 210000 hectare ( Pvt Figures) and 160000 hectare (as per govt. statistics).
Last year pressing was of 750000 Bales (approx) but this year it will increase to about 900000 Bales.
New Ginning and Pressing Factories (About 10 in no.) are going to be installed in Asop, Khinwsar, kapasan, Bilara, Asind and mandalgarh area.
Main buyers in last season in this area were Pali mill, Nitin spinners, Ginni international, Nahar ind, Gujrat Ambuja and some traders from MP and Exporters.
Quality sown is maximum BT cotton and this area always has cotton with good mic and other parameters.

LOWER RAJASTHAN
Total area last season was 186000 Hectare.
This year sowing area 220000 hectare

The area of Lower Rajasthan has been mainly divided into -:
1. Mewar Belt is Gangapur, Kuraj, Kapasan, Akola, Railmagra etc.
2. Marwar Belt is Bilara, merta, khinwsar, soyla, roon, asop etc
3. Beawar–Bijainagar-kekri-sarwar Belt
4. Khairthal Belt
5. Sumerpur Belt.
1. BEAWAR-BIJAINAGAR BELT
Beawar is the main center of Lower Rajasthan. Last season’s Pressing (2011-2012) was of about 200000 Bls at this station (List Attached). Ginning capacity is not up to the level but this year new factories and some new expansions are being installed at beawar. It is main center of bora pressing which came mainly from both marwar and mewar belt. But it is expected that in this season sowing will increase in local belt also. This season also it is expected that pressing figure will reduce due to more pressing factories being installed at Asind, Asop, Khinwsar and mewar belt.
Bijainagar-Sarwar-Kekri is the other major center where this season pressing was about 12000bls. Sowing in this area has increased this season. Kekdi is other area where there are two press. Quality was good here in last season. So this center was main area of exporters purchase.
2. MARWAR BELT-:
Merta -: It is other major area. Cotton of this area is best in whole Lower Rajasthan with good mic and length. Last year pressing in this area was about 25000 Bls. This area will also increase this season. There are total 2 pressing factories .
Roon -: Lower Rajasthan’s Best ever and most mordanised plant has been installed last year in Roon (Rishab Cotton ind.) Last year total pressing was about 26000 bls.
Bilara area is having two press and about 20 ginning factories. Last year pressing was of about 55000 Bls. Quality is good in this area also. This year pressing will increase here also due to more crops and ginners are taking more interest in selling full pressed lots in comparison of loose bags. Two more new pressing factories are planned in this area.
Asop -:
There are two press and about 15 ginning factories in this area. This year two new press will be installed in this area. Last year pressing figures were about 55000 bls.
Khinwsar- Soyla -:
There are three press and 10 ginning factories in this area. Total pressing is about 80000 bls.
3. MEWAR BELT -:
Gangapur –Kuraj-Railmagra Sowing is also expected to increase this season. Total pressing in this area was about 110000 Bls. Quality is good and it was main center for exporters and south suppliers.
Akola-Kapasan -:
Sowing Is good in this season and total pressing is about 30000 bls. Quality was excellent in this area.
4. Khairthal area is also a good area in as quality wise. Last year pressing was of about 45000 Bls. Sowing figures are just double in this area. But rain is much more than expected.
5. Sumerpur area is also good and last year pressing was of about 14000 Bls. Quality is good in this area. Pressing will increase in this area.
