Lokarpan of Sindhi Gatha on 18 july in the campus of Adarsh Sikshan Mandal

SINDHI KATHA is an output of efforts of Dr. Snehil Tawade of Snehvardhan Publishing house-Pune. The book is a translation of stories done by Devi Nangrani in Hindi and Dr. Vidhya Chitko has translated the same in Marathi. The inauguration of the book was done on 18 july in the campus of Adarsh Sikshan Mandal (Institute of Management-Karve Road, Pune.)

Present on the dias were Doctor P.C. Shejwalkar, Dr N.M. Joshi, Dr. Snehil Tawade, Devi Nangrani and her sister Eshwari Athma. Dr. Shejwalkar in his speech stated that translated sindhi stories in Marathi language is a great task and a valuable contribution to the literature. These stories touch different aspects of human life and a unique flavor to the learning experience for the future generation. Dr. Shejwalkar in his speech further added that living in USA Devi Nangrani has made a valuable contribution towards Sindhi Language by highlighting the trends of traditions.

Dr N.M. Joshi, himself a good student and a speaker of sindhi language, addressed that there is a similarity between sindhi and marathi language, easy to understand . Many statements expressed in the translated stories reflect human values, easily understood by the reader. Dr. Snehil Tawade highlighted that the sindhi Community as engaged in trade and business all over the world, and being social by nature mix up easily with communities of all ethnicities and nationalities.
She congratulated and honored Devi ji with a bouquet and a shawl.
