Jaipur: In light of the current crisis in Ukraine, Jaipur International Airport (JIAL) has extended full support to the evacuation of the stranded Indian students who arrived in Jaipur today by 6E 5384 at ETA 10:15 hours. Eight students safely landed in Jaipur from Mumbai and received special welcome by senior officials of airport administration and government of Rajasthan.
Cabinet Minister for women and child welfare Smt Mamta Bhupesh along with other senior official gave a floral welcome to all the students at arrival hall of Terminal 2. Later students were taken to VIP lounge for a detailed interaction with the minister. Students shared their experiences in Ukraine and thanked airport administration and Rajasthan Government for extending full support.
After the interaction, students were taken to circuit house for the lunch. Elaborated arrangements were made by Government of Rajasthan to drop the students at their respective hometowns. The eight students belonged to various districts including Ajmer, Jaipur, Kota, Bharatpur and Bhilwara.
Airport administration informed they are in full contact with local administration and elaborated arrangements are insured before arrival of any such group. As per the guidelines laid down by the Government, the Airport Health Organization (APHO) team at the airport conducted mandatory temperature checks. Negative RT-PCR Test Report at the time of arrival are also checked thoroughly. Meanwhile students also expressed their gratitude to airport administration and government of Rajasthan for the special treatment.
“I am very happy that I have finally landed in Rajasthan. It took lot of time to cross Ukraine boarder. After that the journey was very convenient. We are feeling very special for the floral welcome at airport. Thanks to Jaipur Airport and Government of Rajasthan,” said Sivangi Sharma, one of the students coming from Ukraine.
Besides, JIAL is undertaking steps to smoothen the process for the young students arriving at the airport. As a gateway to the city, JIAL is ensuring a seamless transit for the young students by offering them goodness through their journey.
