५२ वर्षों पूर्व २० अक्टूबर,१९६२ को हुए भारत पर हुए चीन के आक्रमण के समय भारत के युवकों में व्याप्त देश भक्ति की भावना का विवरण
एक १९ वर्ष के छात्र की जुबानी उसकी खुद की कहानी:-
मै एक मध्यम वर्गी अग्रवाल परिवार से सम्बन्ध रखता हूं | हमारे पिता ब्यावर ( अजमेर-राजस्थान ) के प्रसिद्ध कपडे के व्यापरी थे| परिवार मै शिक्षा का वातावरण नहीं के समान था | मुझे बच्चपन से ही परम्परा से हट कर कुछ करने का जनून था | मेरी आदतें परिजनों से बिल्कुल हट कर थी| मैं अपने बड़े भाई की किताबें उनसे पूर्व ही पढ लिया करता था| मुझे परिवार के आपसी वादविवाद मैं कभी कोई रूची नहीं होती थी |सुबह-शाम अपनी उम्र से बड़े एवं अधिक पड़े लिखों से मेरी मित्रता होती थी उनमे से कुछ के साथ वाक ( घुमने ) पर जाना मेरी दिनचर्या का अंग था | उनके साथ प्रदेश,देश, विश्व मै हो रही गति विधियो पर चर्चा होती थी| गांधीजी, नेहरूजी, सरदार पटेल, गुरुदेव टैगोर मेरे आदर्श पुरुष थे | शुरु से मुझे धार्मिक कर्मकांड से विरक्ति सी थी |मै कर्म करने मै विश्वास करता था | सब धर्मो की मै समान रुप से प्रशंसा करता हूं |
रोज पब्लिक वाचनालय मै जाकर हिंदी-इंग्लिश के समाचार पत्र एव पत्रिकाएँ, विभिन विषयों की पुस्तके पढना मेरा शौक था | अपनी युवा अवस्था तक मैंने सरसरी तौर पर सभी धार्मिक ग्रंथ पढ लिए थे .
अपने परिवार मे मै प्रथम पोस्टग्रेजुएट था | मेरे से पूर्व, परिवार मे कोई नौकरी नहीं करता था |
चीन के आक्रमण से मैं बहुत आहत हुआ था, मेरा रोम-रोम मैं देश के लिए कुछ विशेष कर कुजरने की तम्मना थी | ऐसे वातावरण मैं, मैंने अपने देश के प्रति अपने ह्रदय के उद्गारो को पत्रों के माध्यम से प्रकट किये थे | जब मैंने यह पत्र लिखा था तब मै मात्र 19 वर्ष का था (मैंने उस वक्त प्रधानमंत्री राष्ट्रपति एवं अन्य राज नेताओं को पत्र लिखे थे जिनमें से कुछ पत्रों की मूल कॉपी आज 52 वर्षो के बाद भी मेरे पास है, कुछ पत्र के कागज गल-फट गये हैं)मूझे प्रधानमंत्री, राष्ट्रपति एवं अन्य राज नेताओं से उत्तर भी प्राप्त हुए जो आज मेरे पास सुरक्षित हैं | मै विज्ञानं का विद्यार्थी था | मैंने कभी हिंदी साहित्य का अलग से अध्यन नहीं किया था |.
आज आजादी के 67 वर्षोँ बाद भी हमारें दिलों मैं प्रश्न उठता ही है कि वो क्या कारण है की आज के नव युवकों मैं देश के प्रति समपर्ण एव निष्ठा के भाव कंहा चले गए हैं ?

मान्यवर,
मुझे गोरव है कि मैं एक भारतीय हूँ | मुझे अभिमान है, इस बात का की मेरा जन्म,राम,कृष्ण,बुद्ध और गाँधी के शांति प्रिय देश मै हुआ है | निसंदेह, प्रत्येक भारतीय शांतिप्रिय एव विश्व शांति का हामी है,किन्तु जब कोई देश हमारी और तिरछी एवं बुरी नजर से देखता है तो हमारी आँखों से निकलने वाली चिंगारियों मैं उस बेशर्म आक्रामक को भस्मसात करने की शक्ति होती है | ऐसी ही गति इन विश्वाश घाती चीन के देत्यो की भी होगी, इसमें कोई भी संदेह नहीं है |
यह एक तथ्य है की “voice of the People is voice of the GOD”. मैं ह्रदय से चाहता हूं कि जन सभाओं में प्रत्येक व्यक्ति सार्वजनिक रूप से प्रण ले कि“ जब तक हम चीनीयों को भारत की एक- एक इंच भूमी से बाहर नहीं निकाल देंगें, चैन की स्वांस नहीं लेंगे, चीनीयों को खून का बदला खून से देंगें ” , तथा इस के बाद वह इस पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर करें और इन की प्रतिलिपियां ——
(१) भारत सरकार, नई दिल्ली, (२) U.N.O. कार्यालय, (३) चीनी दूतावास , नई दिल्ली को भेजी जाय|
मुझे विश्वास है की इस अदभुत प्रतिज्ञा आन्दोलन से हम भारत वासीयों मै राष्ट्रीयता की भावना इतनी बलवती हो जायगी की विश्व का जनमत स्वत: ही हमे मदद देना चायेगा | वहीं चीनीयों कों भी यह ज्ञात हो जायगा की ४४ करोड़ भारतीयों से लोहा लेना उनके सामर्थ्य से बाहर है |
मुझे अत्याधिक खुशी होगी यदि इस हस्ताक्षर आन्दोलन का शुभारंभ आज की
आवश्यक सभा से ही किया जाये | आप हम सभी छात्रों को निर्देश दे की इस राष्ट्रयी संकट के समय में हमें क्या करना चाहिये |
जैसे आप स्वयं जानते है की सैन्य सामग्री के लिए हमे सोना और विदेशी मुद्रा चाहिये, इस के लिए निम्न उपाय वांछित दिखाई देते है.
१. प्रत्येक छात्र से यह अपील की जाय कि वह अपने जेब खर्च का ५०% राष्ट्रयी रक्षा कोष मै दान दे, तथा वे इस पुण्य कार्य को जब तक जारी रखेँ जब तक की आक्रांता हमारी पुण्य भूमि से पीछे न हट जाए |
२. प्रत्येग प्राध्यापक से विनीत शब्दों में प्राथेना की जाये कि इस घोर संकट की घडी में वें अपनी आय का १०% राष्ट्रयी रक्षा कोष मैं दान करें |
३. प्रतिभाशाली एव राज्य सरकार से छात्रवर्ती प्राप्त करने वाले सोभ्यगशाली छात्रों का भी यह पुनीत कर्तव्य है कि वे भी अपनी प्राप्त छात्रवर्ती का कम से कम २५% राष्ट्रयी रक्षा कोष में दान देकर दुसरे महाविद्यालय के सामने भी एक आदर्श रखें |
४. मेरी यह मजबूत धारणा है की प्रभु की प्राथना मै एक विशेष शक्ति होती है, अगर आप उचित समझे तो आज मध्यान्ह १२ बजे से ही १० मिनट के लिए प्रत्येक छात्र एव अध्यापक अपनी क्लास मै ही प्राथना कर राष्ट्रयी समृद्धी के लिये कामना करें |
५. हमारा गोरवमयी इतिहास चिल्ला– चिल्ला कर कह रहा है कि भारत को स्वयं के जयचंदों से ही खतरा होता है, अत कॉलेज प्रशासन ऐसा प्रयास करे की समाज विरोधी तत्व को जन्म लेने से पूर्व ही कुचल दिया जाए.
६. जनसाधारण मै जागृति पैदा करने एव सहायता हेतु धन संग्रह के लिए “चैरिटी शो” का आयोजन करना भी वांछित होगा|
७. महाविद्यालय स्तर पर “ राष्ट्रयी रक्षा समिति” बनाई जाये जो विधालय के विधार्थीयो का मार्ग दर्शन करे,अगर उचित समझा जाए तो ऐसा कार्यक्रम बनाये जिसके अंतर्गत प्रत्येक रविवार को छात्र अपने ग्रुप्स के साथ नगर के विभिन भागो एवं गावों में जा कर नागरिकों को वर्तमान संकट की गंभीरता को समझाए की राष्ट्रीय हित हेतु वे अविलम्ब भारतीय सेना मै भर्ती होना चाहिए |
८. इस संकट के समय हमारे महाविद्यालय की छात्राओ का दायित्य छात्रों से भी अधिक है | प्रत्येक छात्रा से अपील की जाये की वें महिला समाज का मार्ग दर्शन कर भारतयी वीरांगनाओ मै राष्ट्रीयता का संचार करे , तथा उन्हें बताये की उनके आभूषण का आज कितना महत्व बढ़ गया है, प्रत्येक भारतयी ललना का यह पुनीत् कर्तव्य है की वे आभूषण के झूठे मोह को छोड़कर यथा शक्ति अपने एवं अपने परिवार जनों के आभूषण का दान करे | एव अतिरिक्त समय में जवानों के लिए ऊनी स्वेटर बुन उन्हें भेजें|
९. अगर प्रशासन ऐसा प्रबंध कर सके कि महाविद्यालय के छात्र निधि फण्ड से राष्ट्रयी रक्षा बांड एव नेशनल सेविंग्स सर्टिफिकेट्स खरीदे जायें तो अतिउत्तम होगा |
१०. आज की सभा मै एक प्रस्ताव पास कर इस प्रस्ताव की प्रतिलिपी मुख्य मंत्री और प्रधान मंत्री को भी भेजी जाये, इस प्रस्ताव के अंतर्गत हम सभी छात्र एव प्राध्यापक प्रतिज्ञा करे की हम सब राष्ट्र रक्षा हेतु अपना तन, मन, धन एव सर्वश्व त्यागनें को उत्सुक हैं और देश हम से जो भी बलिदान मागेंगा वो हम देने को तैयार हैं |
मुझे आशा ही नहीं किन्तु पूर्ण विश्वास है की आप मेरे सुझावों पर सहानुभुति पूर्वक विचार कर उचित कदम उठाएंगे |

Government of India
New Delhi.
Respected Prime Minister Pt. Nehruji ,
Subject—- Some Useful Suggestions about Indo-China Border dispute.
It has become a true fact that our Borders (North East borders) is not fully safe, but no matter our every men-Women of the country are proud of their Nation. Every Jawans is fighting on the border for the safety of the country———
Assam is our border state and special attention should be given for the safety of that place. Govt. should take immediate actions to migrate the Pakistanis who are living illegally in Assam , Tripura and Manipur without any hitch.
Every political party should take back their movements. On the other hand Govt. should not————, which may create dissatisfaction to the public. If possible National Language bill may also be postponed.
Above all All India Radio may play a very important role at this time. A.I.R should broadcast all important historical events from very early time to Gandhi era. Life sketch and achievement of our great leaders and statesman should be broadcasted. This broadcast can be either in form of drama or talk or discussions. After listening of such programs of nationality, listeners will develop feeling of nationality and they will contribute their beast for the security of the Nation. Though I have complete only one year training of NCC, Rifles. I am prepare to give my services to the nation in any form.————

Our history says that whenever nation passes through a critical position, we Indians always keep aside our internal differences and become united like solid rock to save the nation. .Our forefathers died in harness for the safety and security of the nation. At present we, Indians are eager to fight up to our last breath against China for the sake of our independence.
As you know that voice of the general public is the voice of the GOD. I myself is of this firm opinion that when china will reach on the conclusion that each and every Indian is badly against China’s aggression, and they are giving their full support to their government, he will certainly will become afraid of it. I am sure that when china will come to know that India and Indians are peaceful in nature, but when any nation by its illegal aggression enters India, every Indians is ready to die for saving their nation for saving to their nation. After knowing this glorious determination of 430 million Indian, China will certainly afraid of it.
Though I consider that safety steps taken by our government are fully satisfactory, I assure that during such critical position each child and youth and old will feel proud to die for the sake of the nation. I will like to give few suggestions for the betterment of the national security.
Each and every educational, social, political and commercial institution should organize a movement under the name “CHINION KO BHARAT SE KHADED DO “. i.e. these bodies should organize public meetings, conferences and group meetings and should educate the public that spirit of national unity is the need of the hour. It is the duty of every Indian is to devote himself towards welfare and unity of his motherland. General public should know that emotional integration is the need of the hour. During these meeting OATH should be taken from the people saying that ‘CHINION KO BHARTYA PRADESH SE KHADED KAR RAHENGE’ for this a mass movement should organize. Copies of this should be sent to UNO and to the Chinese Embassy in India at New Delhi.
During this movement, whereas a spirit and awakening will develop among the general public and at the same time each citizen will understand the importance of our unity and integrity and will extend his/ her full support.
As you told before the P.S.P. leader Shri Hem Behrua and Kamath that India will try his best to get best army material and ammunitions from any country, we Indians welcome this statement. I want to make a request before you that for these additional armaments money should be collected from the general public. This may be collected voluntarily as under—-
!. It should be announce that each Income Tax payer should give 5% of its annual income in the ‘ Border relief Fund ‘.
!!. Each political, Educational and Social Body should urge the people to give help by their Heart.
!!!. We are unfortunate but it is a fact that some big businessman, industrialist gives more importance to their profit motive in comparison to the national welfare works. Govt. should take such actions so that these rising prices should not rise further. I think that it will be if local administrators and popular leaders made personal contacts with businessman, traders and create a spirit of nationality in them. They should be told that welfare of the nation is the best thing in the world. Each big businessman and industrialist should take oath before the GOD that he will not make artificial rise in price during this time.
No doubt that we have got the sympathy of most of the nations of the world, which is clear from the statements given by the head of various states.
1. In order to get universal support, we should publish a WHITE PAPER which should be sent to our Indian embassy in all the countries for public advertisement and for submitting to the respective governments. I think if we produce a little literature about the illegal practices of China on our borders; it will serve our purpose to a great extent.
I believe in the importance of the UNO. I appreciate your stament delivered you last year in the UNO “ In this world , UNO is the only ray of hope for peace”. As aggressor China is not a member of the UNO, it is doubtful that UNO can help in this matter. We should try to know the actual stand of our friendly country USSR about our dispute of borders with China, whether USSR will support us or not.
Our history proves that Indian Communists are not patriot towards nation, as they shown their sympathy towards China from time to time. Therefore, I will be glad if C.I.D. department is spread over our frontiers area. Strong action should be taken against that person who plays with our freedom. We should continue our political relations with China, but should strictly watch the activities of China’s embassy in India; by this we may show the world that India is always ready to have talk and dialogue with China.
