Artist Bureaucrat Kiran Soni Gupta brings laurels to India and Rajasthan- A rare distinction
Salon 2012, a big cauldron of art, organised by the Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts 2012 opened on the 13th December 2012 amidst a great gathering of artists, art lovers, art connoisseurs from all over the world. More than 600 artists have been selected to showcase their artworks in the different categories of Painting, Sculpture and Graphics. Indian Artist Kiran Soni Gupta whose painting ” Poojatime” has won the honors to be displayed at this prestigious gallery. It is rare honor won by the creative bureaucrat and artist par excellence. Poojatime won high appreciation from people gathered together at this momentous occasion. They have been stuck by the brilliance of hues depicting five women going for a worship on the occasion of “Karvachauth” ( a fast kept by women in India praying for the long life of spouses)
This annual event also provided a dozen foreign delegations: Brazil, Canada, China, Korea, Spain, Hungary, Japan, Switzerland, Turkey … reveal the heart of Paris artistic activities on all continents. The great painter and draftsman Pierre-Henry is the director of the representation of the painting at the Salon SNBA.
Each year, the National Fine Arts exhibited at the Carrousel du Louvre Salle Le Nôtre. It is in 1725 that settled in the omnipotence of the Academy of Fine Arts the first LIVING in the Cour Carree du Louvre. Nearly three centuries later, it has its painters, sculptors, printmakers and not this Court Square, but in the triangle of the Pyramid. The exhibition welcomed more than 50,000 visitors in the opening ceremony. In fact, this is the only salon in Paris whose entry is free.
