AT THE FOUNDATION STONE LAYING CEREMONY FOR THE RAYALASEEMA HORTICULTURE HUB AND INDIAN SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE, MADANAPALLE
2nd October 2026 / Honourable Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji,
Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu Garu,
Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu, Shri Nara Lokesh Garu and other ministers, and public representatives on the dais.
Esteemed dignitaries and guests, my dear farmer brothers and sisters, the Anna Daatas of Andhra Pradesh & Bharat.
Ladies and gentlemen,
“అందరికీ నమస్కారం” (Andariki Namaskaram).
My respectful Namaskaram to you all.
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji, your stewardship of India’s economy gives young entrepreneurs the confidence to build for the future. Today, the Rayalaseema Horticulture Hub, backed by ₹40,000 crore, brings the rising sun of India’s growth to Rayalaseema.
Pawan Kalyan Garu, your dedication to stronger panchayats and rural development speaks directly to the purpose of this School. Your responsibility for the environment also reminds us that prosperous farming must protect the land and water that sustain it.
Chandrababu Naidu Garu,
I am doubly humbled today.
First, I am grateful to you for inviting me to witness this historic moment as you establish India’s first hi-tech, most modern, and truly world-class School of Agriculture in Madanapalle.
Second, a quarter-century ago, you brought the Indian School of Business to Hyderabad. Today, you are giving the Indian farmer his own ISB.
Bharat ne duniya ko bohot CEO diye. ISA Bharat ke kisaan ko apne khet ka CEO banayega.
History will record that Mother India produced two visionary and highly innovative Chief Ministers: one on the shores of the Arabian Sea, the other on the shores of the Bay of Bengal.
Respected Shri Narendra Modi Ji transformed Gujarat.
Now you are similarly transforming Andhra Pradesh.
Under your dynamic leadership, Andhra Bhoomi is becoming Swarna Bhoomi.
Indeed, under Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s visionary leadership, every part of India is undergoing unprecedented transformation today.
Today, I assure Nirmala Ji and Naidu Garu, and through you, our Pradhan Mantri, that Young Indians like me will work with utmost dedication and commitment to realize the dream of VIKSIT BHARAT.
Gandhi Jayanti par aaj hum Sankalp lete hain ki: “VIKSIT BHARAT ka sapna, hum saakar karke dikhaayenge.”
Esteemed Dignitaries and Dear Friends,
In 1919, in this very town of Madanapalle, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore translated our national anthem into English, as the ‘morning song’ of India. Today, Madanapalle sings a new morning song for the Indian farmer.
The Indian School of Agriculture is being founded on the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The Father of our Nation was right when he said that India lives in her villages.
He gave us the Mantra of SARVODAYA and ANTYODAYA.
This Mantra comes alive when agriculture becomes profitable and socially prestigious for every Kisan.
Shastri Ji gave the nation the iconic slogan, “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan”
Atal Ji added ‘Jai Vigyaan’. Modi Ji added ‘Jai Anusandhan’. In this school all 4 meet under one roof: “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan.”
Chandrababu Naidu Garu understands that technology must improve farmers’ incomes.
That mission is at the heart of the INDIAN SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE.
Distinguished Dignitaries and Friends,
Here in this School, Artificial Intelligence will meet the Traditional Intelligence of Bharat’s hard-working Kisans.
Imagine the young minds of this School developing intelligent tools that can warn farmers of a pest attack before it spreads.
Drones that can map crop health and guide the precise use of water and nutrients.
Robotics that can make hard work easier and reduce losses.
Cloud computing can put timely advice in farmers’ hands and help achieve ‘Per Drop More Crop’.
Price intelligence that tells a Madanapalle tomato farmer when and where to sell.
Greenhouse Technology can power an EVERGREEN REVOLUTION: where farming thrives 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Through Reliance’s green energy businesses, I see an opportunity to help our Anna Daatas become Urja Daatas.
Our kisans, who ensure India’s FOOD SECURITY, will now strengthen India’s ENERGY SECURITY too – making India self-reliant in energy.
That is why Reliance Industries is grateful to the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the opportunity to invest ₹1 lakh crore in the state to set up compressed biogas (CBG) plants.
These will create over 3 lakh jobs and bring nearly ₹60,000 crore in revenue to the state over the next decades.
Eminent leaders and guests,
My mission is to help make our farmers more prosperous, our energy cleaner, and our care for animals stronger. I have come here to learn and to put Reliance’s capabilities to work for this mission. In 2001, my grandfather, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani dreamt of ‘a manifold increase in our agricultural output’. 25 years later, this school can help make that dream come true.
Let me share four practical ways in which we will work together.
These ideas draw on discussions with my honorable father, Shri Mukesh Ambani, who sends his greetings to Nirmala Ji, Naidu Garu, Pawan Kalyan Garu, and the people of Andhra Pradesh.
First: This School must reach farmers at their doorsteps.
Therefore, JIO will collaborate with the Indian School of Agriculture to bring your training modules to millions of farmers in Indian languages and in an interactive mode through VIRTUAL CLASSROOMS IN VILLAGES.
Educated rural youth can become DIGITALLY ENABLED EXTENSION WORKERS, helping farmers use this knowledge.
Second: JIO has created a new platform called JIO KRISHI.
JIO KRISHI has developed several innovative products to benefit farmers.
In Jamnagar, we have established India’s most modern R&D Centre for Bio-Energy Development.
We would regard it as DESH SEVA and KISAN SEVA to share our knowledge with you… and also learn from you.
Third: I am first a Pashu Sevak and then an entrepreneur. Mere liye, ‘PASHU SEVA bhi ‘PRABHU SEVA’ hai. Aur main manta hun ki ye Bharat ka bhi naara hai.
Our Kisans understand the value of PASHU SEVA and Bharat’s precious PASHU DHAN.
I believe that hi-tech Animal Husbandry, along with our traditional love and care for animals, can create an enormous amount of new wealth and employment in our villages.
At Vantara in Jamnagar, we have laid the foundation for the World’s First Global University for Wildlife and Veterinary Sciences.
We would be happy to establish a close relationship between your School and our University.
Fourth: This School can help make agriculture a profession that young Indians choose with pride.
Too many young people leave farming because incomes are uncertain and opportunities seem limited.
Let us give them the skills, technology and enterprise to build successful futures in THEIR OWN VILLAGES.
Respected leaders, ladies and gentlemen,
Naidu Garu, your government’s ‘Speed of Doing Business’ is turning Andhra Pradesh’s ambition into an impressive investment pipeline.
Since June 2024, the state has approved 388 mega projects, with investment commitments exceeding ₹14 lakh crore and the potential to create nearly 11 lakh jobs, about a third of it headed to Rayalaseema.
Reliance is proud to be part of this story, with clean energy projects – right here in Rayalaseema.
From green energy to advanced manufacturing, this momentum gives real substance to your Swarna Andhra 2047 vision, aligned with VIKSIT BHARAT.
Reliance is proud to have made a humble contribution to building the Indian School of Agriculture by joining hands with the Government and Farmers of Andhra Pradesh.
Reliance will continue to support this institution with strategic investment, digital capabilities, technical expertise, and industry partnerships.
Honourable Shri Chandrababu Naidu Garu,
Today I request you:
Treat me as a son of Andhra.
“నన్ను ఆంధ్ర బిడ్డగా భావించండి.” (Nannu aandhra biddagaa bhavinchandi.)
I thank you for placing your trust in Reliance and inviting us to partner with the Government of Andhra Pradesh in this historic endeavour.
Today, we are not just laying foundation stones.
We are laying the foundations for – rural enterprise, stronger villages, a more sustainable India, and most importantly, for improving lives of our farmers.
అందరికీ ధన్యవాదాలు (Andariki Dhanyavadalu.)
For Andhra Pradesh, we will work together. Swarna-Andhranu Nirmiddam! (Let us build Swarna Andhra)
Thank you, one and all.
Jai Andhra. Jai Hind. Jai Krishna. Govinda
