dr. j k gargAgresen was a devoted religious person. He went to Kashee to worship Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva gave Darshan to Agresen and directed him to worship Goddess Laxmi. Mata Laxmi was pleased by his Bhakti and blessed him with her Ashivrvad and gave him VARDAAN of Prosperity for himself & his Kingdom and his numerous followers. This is the reason that Most of His followers viz the AGARWAL SECT ( founded by Agresen) are the most wealthy and prograsive persons . Mata Laxmi ordained him to leave the Kshatriya sect and adopt VAISHYA DHARMA (Trader). As per Goddess Laxmi’s Blessings Agresen became the FIRST VAISHYA King.
Agresen and Madhvee went out to search the land for the capital of their kingdom from one place to another .At one place they saw that Lions and Sheep’s kids were playing with Joy together without any fear. They were highly impressed with the love and affection of these animal kids and decided to make this place their Kingdom and gave it the name of AGREYEN. This beautiful discovery of MAA MADHAVEE and PITA AGRASEN is now known as AGROHA. Agroha now has become a pilgrimage for the Agarwal community . There is a GRAND TEMPLE of Maharaja Agrasen.
