What is Regret? (अफ़सोस क्या है ? )

Regret is a sense of loss, disappointment or dissatisfaction. It is a feeling of deep regret or guilt for an act or omission.

Most of us feel guilty sometimes for things we have said or done in interactions with co-workers and superiors, or other people with whom we come in contact throughout our lives. A certain amount of this is healthy.

The notion of regret can become unhealthy when it routinely escalates small problems into bigger issues.

Get some great tips on how to Avoid Regret:

Keep in mind that you are also a human, just like other people in this world. Making a mistake won’t always be the end of everything. Those incidents/ comments which hurt you also teach us some lessons too. Every successful person has made mistakes. Big or small doesn’t matter.
Believe that you are also a sensible human being and that you take decisions after a lot of evaluation. Don’t be under the impression that you did not think at all before taking that crucial decision. We all think. But sometimes things don’t turn out the way we plan. Next time before taking a decision don’t make mistakes that you made while taking your previous decision.

Think about the fact that when you had taken a particular decision, at that point in time it seemed to be the best option and that’s the reason you chose it… even though now it seems silly. . Nobody knows the future. Accept the fact that now you are wiser then you previously were.

Forgive….. Forgiveness brings bliss. Don’t over think your past: the more you think of the past, the life will become more miserable.

Start afresh. It’s never too late to start afresh…… never too late to begin a new…… life always gives a second chance. You only have to believe in it.

Try to find an answer as to what will make you happy and what steps you need to take in order to achieve that stage.

Learn to give.

Be happy..

Believe that you are a “Fighter” and a “Winner”.

Remember, what’s done is done.

Stop regretting.Tomorrow will be a better day. Live today, not yesterday. It doesn’t matter what you did, it’s you will do.

Look at the misfortune the same ways you look at success. Do not panic. Do your best and forget the consequences

One should surrender before the GOD. Everything which he does is good for us

How to Avoid Regrets of Inaction:

1. Know what is controllable and uncontrollable. If you need help, Take guidance from your superior or leader in your space.

2. Know your priorities.Don’t expect to be able to give always 110% if there are too many things that are more important.

3. Get an objective opinion from a coach, mentor or friend or expert. Do not be lazy.

4. Find a compelling reason. You must have a tough-as-nails-reason to get yourself to give it all you have.

Take a Regret Avoidance Inventory right now and ask yourself the following:

How are you doing with your various goals?
Is it in your control to do better?
If so, why have you not?

Who or what could help?
Do you have a compelling enough reason to make it happen?

Once you make thiscommitment, you will not only abandon regret, but you’ll surely experience more and more success in your life.

Remember……“When one door closes another door opens, but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us.”
