Jaipur, October / Johns Hopkins University, USA-Worlds No 1 School for Public Health, in cooperation with India No 1 B-school of Health Management-Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur will offer its Master of Public Heath (MPH) degree program in Jaipur.The course will be inaugurated at IIHMR Campus on Monday-28 th October, 2013.
Dr S.D.Gupta,Corporate Director,IIHMR said that the cooperation between the john Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Heath and Indian Institute of Health Management Research combines the School’s excellence in public health education with the Institute’s expertise in the health management, planning and research in South Asia. He said that the program, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt of India under foreign collaboration is offered for the graduates from India and surrounding low and middle income countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Phillippines. It is full time 2 years degree-highly subsidized which will be awarded by John Hopkins University.
Dr Gupta observed that the proposed Master of Public Health Program will be a unique combination of core public health and management to address the needs of emerging “new public health”.
