Ajmer. Lt Gen MMS Rai, AVSM, VSM, GOC 12 Corps visited Rashtriya Military School Ajmer on 18th Feb 2013. The GOC and other staff officer were received by Lt Col VK Sharma, Principal Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer. The GOC was introduced to the teaching faculty and the senior boys of the school. The General Officer during his visit inaugurated a football field made by the Army and also witnessed a friendly inaugural match. With coming up of academic blocks and new buildings in the school there has been shortage of play fields commensurate to the number of students in the school and hence there had been long awaited demand for a football field. A new football field has been created and developed by the Bogra Brigade, in the southern part of the school behind the residential block in the picturesque backdrop of the Madar hills.
In his address to the students and teachers, the General Officer said that the school is the nursery for future leadership of the Armed Forces & promised a hockey field to be created soon. He complimented the teaching faculty for maintaining the high all round standards of the school and ensuring all round development of the students. The General Officer also interacted with the students over a cup of tea.
