Eid Quotes by Sony SAB artistes

Aasiya Kazi (Sharda in Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama)

I feel blessed and fortunate to be with my family during Eid. Since we are all going to be home this year, we are excited to spend the day with each other and follow all the rituals and our traditions. I will certainly miss celebrating Eid with my relatives and friends this year as I usually don’t get to meet them often due to my shoot schedule and it’s only festivals that bring us all together. It will be a different experience of celebrating Eid this year but I only pray that we all come out of this testing time at the earliest.

The best part about this day is making Sheer Korma, which is a must. I eagerly wait for this day to just have this mouthwatering delicacy. I enjoy cooking, so I will be cooking biryani with my mom. I love the small moments of this day like waiting to see the moon and the happiness that takes over the entire family. We start all the preparations post that and it just brings the family together. This day reminds of the tradition we usually follow as a family, where every year, my family along with my other relatives would go watch the Salman Khan movie that generally releases during Eid. We are all huge Salman Khan fans. I will certainly miss this tradition this year.

For all my fans and viewers of Tenali Rama, I would urge them to be safe and celebrate this day with their families, even if it is through virtual mediums. It is a day of togetherness and positivity. I hope we all find the strength to fight this challenging phase that we are all going through. Eid Mubarak to everyone.

Gulfam Khan (Nazneen Chachi in Sony SAB’s Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga)

We will be enthusiastically celebrating Eid this year at home with the same spirit as always because it’s not about what you do or where you celebrate, instead it is about how you feel. My family members are spread all across at the moment and even though two of my sisters are in Mumbai we won’t be able to meet personally instead will be meeting each other virtually over video calls. I couldn’t shop for my Eid outfit this year as we are all at our homes but I will wear my best outfit because I love dressing up this day. Sheer Korma is a must on the menu and it’s my personal favourite especially on the holy occasion of Eid. This year, I will even make a special delicacy that I have been planning to prepare for a long time. What I genuinely love the most about Eid is the spirit which is just like Diwali and Christmas. It’s all about positivity and we at our house celebrate all festivals with the same fervour.

This day, I would like advising everyone to keep smiling and to keep spreading love & happiness. It is crucial to keep our lives shining bright like the crescent moon of Eid and like the lamp that brightens a Diwali night. This time too shall pass, and we will all be rejoicing life together soon. Eid Mubarak to one and all.
