*”Lachhman Bhatia ” Komal”*

Today is Birthday of noted writer Lachhman Chelaram Bhatia ‘Komal’. He was born on 26th March 1936 at Kandiaro, District Naushehro Feroz. He was 11 years , when he migrated to India after violent partition of India (partition of Sindh, its language, culture, and soul), since then he has been writing poetry there in India. This is his second trip to dear motherland Sindh. Last time when he visited Sindh first time went to his birth place Kandiaro, he found his 60 years old house himself, because the street and roads leading to his house remain close to his heart, he could not forget them. All such beautiful stories are narrated with nostalgia in his book, and above all how these folks were forced by migrants from India to leave their centuries old homes here in Sindh, this all great service of suffering of humanity was done in the name of religion, League’s and Congress’ divisive politics.

He served as Senior Sub Editor of Times of India. He authored a number of books including the following:
1. جيءُ جهروڪو (Poetry)
2. وهي کاتي جا پنا (Autobiography in three parts)
3. هڪڙو هو راجا (Children’s stories)
4. Folk Tales of Pakistan

He also translated a number of books into Sindhi.
