Mumbai / Mahamana Malaviya Mission, Mumbai Chapter is organising 2nd Mahamana Memorial Lecture at National College , Bandra on coming Sunday I.e. 14th December 2014 at 10 AM. Eminent Thinker, Scholar, Political Activist Dr Subramanium Swamy will deliver the key note address. A large number of eminent people will grace the occasion. The function will be presided over by Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon. Railway Minister, Government of India.
Few words about the Mission
Mahamana Malaviya Mission was started by the eminent alumni of Benaras Hindu University (BHU) in the year 1978. Over the year this organisation has earned fame in propagating the very ideas of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya, a great visionary, freedom fighter, one of the main architect of the modern India. He also had a vision to provide world class education in India, his hard work culminated into a great educational institution of our time BHU.
Mission right from its inception is actively engaged in a number of educational and social welfare projects in different parts of Country. A number of welfare projects were specially initiated for social uplift net of weaker section of society.
Mumbai chapter of Mission has also made its mark in last few years by actively engaging in various academic and social welfare activities. Last year on 150 th birthday of Mahamana the Chapter started Mahamana Memorial Lecture Series. For the first Lecture in the series, the Chapter invited the eminent scientist, scholar and thinker Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India, the programme was a big success.
