Agresen lived a simple life with high morals. He believes that one should divide his earing in four parts viz one part should be spent for family’s day today”s work, one part for his business development, another part should be used developing public utilities and welfare and fourth part should be saved for future and state development works. He developed the concept of social cooperation. He built several Dharamshalas, hospital, library, school etc. Thus the concept of social wellbeing and communal health, Education and allround progress and goodwill should be provided by both the ruler and the ruled. It was also the forerunner of Democracy and in a way self determination and also self GOVERNANCE.

Agresen had 18 sons. Agresen had divided his kingdom in 18 substrates. One representative from each substrate constitutes the Governing council to administer the Kingdom. In this way he was among the first kings who established Democracy in his kingdom. He taught his countrymen to lead a judicious way.

Agrasen saw pathetic Horse trembling and touched the heart of Agrasen. Hearing the call of his inner Conscience, Maharaja Agrasen proclaimed that from this moment onwards no animal will be sacrificed on any Occasion or YAGA, Thus he became the first king who totally banned killing or sacrificing ANIMALS.
