Ayurveda scholars and expert studies showed that during this time eating foods like meat, grains, alcohol, onion, garlic etc. etc. will attract and absorb negative energies in the human body and due to this reason such type of foods should be avoided this logic is more reasonable because during these days our bodies tend to have comparatively low immunity and we may fall sick and may be victims of seasonal diseases . Hence it is advised that we should do fasting and keep upvas Nine DURGA MATA E and worship them with dedication and pure heart for cleansing and purification for our body, mind and soul . This instrumental change with positive intentions ignites a new self-discipline in our behavior for our good and well being . It is true that nine days in NAVRATRI are referred to sins/devils i.e Lust Greed Attachment Ego Hate, Fear jealousy and Interica that live inside our own mind and can be overcome by training ourselves in a way that enhances internal purification. Besides this Fasting is the safest way to shed those extra pounds of fats and keep our body healthy and in good shape. Fasting helps us in improving our metabolism rate to burn through extra calories effectively which will strengthen our immune system enhancing more healing in our body.
