Jaipur: International connectivity is all set to improve at Jaipur international airport. Air Asia Berhad launched its operations from Jaipur international airport to Kuala Lampur on April 21th. The flight will operate four days a week
The flight (AK-19, a 236 seater aircraft) will land at Jaipur airport at 2125 hours every week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and flight AK 18 will depart to Kuala Lumpur at 2210 on same days.
A grand celebration was organized at Jaipur international Airport to welcome the passengers and celebrate the launch of the new sector. Several dignitaries including Chief Airport Officer Vishnu Mohan Jha, Muhammad Akmal Hafiz Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Director Malasia Tourism, Suresh Nair, GM Air Asia, CISF commandant Narpat Singh and other stake holders graced the occasion. Celebrations started with lamp Lighting ceremony after which the first two passengers -Pranjal and Durga -on the maiden flight were given a special welcome by Vishnu Mohan Jha and all dignitaries. After cake cutting ceremony chief airport officer expressed his gratitude and presented bouquet to Muhammad Akmal Hafiz Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Director Malasia Tourism,
Presently Air India Express, Spice Jet, Salam Air, Air Arabia, Thai Air Asia, Sir Asia Berhad, are operating 29 flights to international destinations like Dubai, Muscat, Sharjah, Bangkok, and Kaulalmpur.
