Anil Kabra has been a Chartered Accountant for many Corporate Companies .He was Inspired to enter the Bollywood film industry after He met several film Personalities.But he took the challenge to give breaks to many newcomers and Technicians in his Maiden venture Room-The Mystery.
1)It seems you are struck with Glamour of the film World which Prompted him to enter the film Industry.?
I Was always Dreaming to enter the film Industry.One Fine day when I saw that so many people are daring to enter the films industry waited till I Got the Complet Knowledge about the film Industry and Luckily I met the Right People.Many people Discouraged me to take Newcomers in my first film as they thought I Will lose Heavily.But someone has to tap new talents which is available in Abundance .If I go the Established stars to act in my first filom ,I could have never completed my first film in time.Sab Kuch Waqt Hain.Also,I Belived that taking risk in this speculative industry is nothing New.If Nobody wants to help the new talent ,my office doors are open for them.
2)You have Produced Room-The Mystery with new faces?
Oh Yes,I was Convinced that the Script is the Real hero and I banked on all new Talents.This way ,I have given many debutants and if the film clicks ,these Actors will benefit the most and I want them to Prosper in their Careers.
3)But then you need good distributers to back Room The Mystery?
I was told by many well-wishers that Mehmood Ali is the best to Promote films starring newcomers and I met him.Them I was happy that he liked the Promos and also he wanted to guide me the best way as I am a new entrant in Bollywood.I decide That Mehmood Ali will Himself Distribute the film Worldwide and we are trying the best Possible Promotion Plan for the film in the coming days.Mehmood Ali is also very Innovatively Planning a few Promotional Campaigns for the film which the Media will know for sure .I think we will make some bang in the film Industry very soon.
4)what are your Future Plans?
I am Planning to Produce more Films and I am treating this film business as Pure Business .I Understand that there are heavy Expenses Incurred before the film Reach the Cinemas houses and I will end up Spending more in the P and A than the Actual cost of the film.But I am Still Happy as I think spending carefully and Meaningfully in the Tv Channels,Radio,Daily Newspapers ,Film Trade weeklies is compulsory but I wont over Publicise the film like some of the film filmmakers are doing nowadays.they then lose heavily too.so,I am very cautions and being a Chartered Accountant,I can always know where to butter the bread and when.
