An Awareness Session on Vibrant Gujarat Startup & Technology Summit

Bhopal, 01.09.2018: Government of Gujarat along with Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal organized an awareness session on 2nd Vibrant Gujarat Start-Up and Technology Summit (VG-STS) 2018, with the theme of ‘Experience the Next’ scheduled on 11, 12 and 13 October 2018 at Gandhinagar. This event will have the largest conglomeration of start-ups, technology, investors & ideas.

The VG-STS 2018 organized by Government of Gujarat under the Vibrant Gujarat initiative is a forerunner to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in January 2019. Organized in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) & IT Association (GESIA). Entrepreneur Development Institute India (EDII), iCreateand PwC are the Knowledge partners. Several Nodal Institutes, NGOs, start-ups entrepreneurs, thought leaders from the space of start-ups and IT are curating the entire event. Additionally, the event will feature leading companies, innovators, venture capital firms, academic institutions, investors, angel investors in the space of innovation and Information Technology from India and abroad.

The Vibrant Gujarat Start-up & Technology Summit 2018 will focus on providing a common platform for new ideas and technology providers along with the investors to network. This summit will lead to creation of new enterprises as well as supporting the existing start-ups. The summit will also provide an opportunity for the start-ups to understand the key challenges faced by the industry in today’s competitive times. There would also be experience sharing by the established players so that the entrepreneurs build their businesses keeping all aspects in mind.

According to a recent statistic, India needs close to 10 million jobs a year and global data shows that more often, it is start-ups who provide maximum new jobs in any `country. Startups are also the centers of innovation and are a great way to enhance employment creation in the economy, and which also bring about technological enhancement. It is the need of the hour to address the critical needs of the country in areas like pollution, water management, affordable healthcare, agriculture, education, financial inclusion, etc. It bodes well for the country that the current government, for the first time in modern Indian history, has understood the criticality of startups for employment and economic growth and has launched ‘The Start-up India, Stand up India mission’.” Indigenous startups will not only make the lives of the people easier through their affordable and convenient services but will also act as a major booster for the development and the progress of the Indian economy.

This summit will provide an excellent opportunity for Startup and enthusiastic youths to understand the current Ecosystem.
