BSDU organized Rajasthan State Level Skill Competition 2018

Jaipur, 25th April, 2018:
With the intention of promoting skill development in Rajasthan, BSDU organized “Rajasthan State Level Skill Competition.” With government’s centrally sponsored scheme of vocationalization of secondary and higher secondary education, students of 11 districts from 70 different skill schools have participated in Rajasthan State level Skill Competition in association with Rajasthan Council of Secondary Education. Students who have participated have completed level 4 (Class 12th) of vocational education and are studying in different trades namely automobile, beauty and wellness, healthcare and IT.

Remarkably in the academic session 2014-15, state government had introduced vocational training courses for the first time and today in total 10 training courses including four courses mentioned above, i.e., automotive, beauty and wellness, healthcare and IT, a total of approx. 84,000 students are getting trained.

According to Ms Anandhi, IAS, State Project Director, Rajasthan Council of Secondary Education, “a total of 700 students are participating in this state level skill competition. During the event, students participating in skill competition went through a written examination where 12 students will be given a scholarship covering their tuition fees for the whole B.Voc program provided they maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above. On this occasion, Dr. (Brig) SS Pabla, vice chancellor of BSDU guided students for their respective careers. During the skill competition, dignitaries from Rajasthan Council of Secondary Education including Narendra Kumar Jain (Assistant Director); Yogesh Upadhyay, Assistant Director; Vinod Rav Shinde; Yogesh Joshi appreciated the curriculum and different initiatives taken time and again by BSDU.
