Jaipur, Pharmaceutical sector students passing out from the prestigious Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur, have received outstanding packages in the fields of product management, sales and marketing this year. The average salary package for the first ten students is Rs. 6.17 lakhs per annum and the highest is Rs. 10.20 lakhs per annum. The pharmaceutical industry in the country is growing at a very fast pace and creating career opportunities for managerial roles. The curriculum designed for the Post-Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management at IIHMR reflects the current trends and future prospects. The course includes international pharmaceutical business, research and development, marketing and sales management, branding, market research, product management and quality management. Ms. Ojaswi Tiwari has received the highest package of Rs. 10.20 lakhs in the campus placement at D.M. Health Care, Dubai. She worked on a project titled “Plasma Products Therapy and Blood Banking Scene in India: Facts and Fiction” during her course and prepared an extensive report on subject. Besides, ten students got placement in the institutions such as Sun Pharmaceuticals, Evosis Health Care Consultants and Plasmagen Biosciences.
Senior Manager Academic Programs at IIHMR Jaipur pointed out that as many as 60 students of the three batches of the course conducted so far had got placement in well-known institutions The IIHMR’s Academic Consultant, Brig. Dr. S.K. Puri, said here today that the youths all over the country were showing an inclination towards a career in pharmaceutical management in view of excellent growth in the sector. According to a recent survey conducted by Business Standard, the pharmaceutical sector expects to see the highest pay hike at 12.5 per cent.
