First Vai shya Samrat Agresen —–Pioneer of SOCIALISM and NON-VIOLENCE Part 4

Agresen had 18 sons. Agresen had divded his kingdom in 18 substaate. One representive from each substate constitutes Governing council to administer the Kingdom. In this way he was among the first king who established Democracy in his kingdom. He taught his countrymen to lead a judiciaous.

BELIEVER OF AHINSA and ordered TOTAL BAN OF ANIMILA SACRIFICE

Maharaja Agresen was first king who baned sacrificing animal in YAGA. He propagated concept of AHINSA or NONVIOLENCE thousands year before Lord Buddha and Lord Mahiveer Swami.

MAHARISHI GARG took a commitment from King Agrasen| to conduct 18 YAGA under the supervision of 18 Rishi Muni by his 18 sons. 17 YAGA were performed as per established traditions, During eighteenth YAGA when one hoarse was brought for sacrifice ,poor hoarse was in tears and tumbling; sensing his killing in YAGA. Agrasen saw pathetic Horse trembling touched the heart of Agrasen. Hearing the call of his inner Conscience, Maharaja Agrasen proclaimed that from this moment onwards no animal will be sacrificed on any Occasion or YAGA, Thus he became first king who totally banned killing or sacrificing ANIMALS. It is being said that Agrasen ruled for 108 years, thereafter he made his eldest son VIBHU king to successes him and Aagesen went for TAPASYA in forest.
